Good to see reasonably accurate reporting without a knee jerk, sensationalist tabloid spin to the story.

I gave Elano my Porsche and now I want it back!

Whilst i am pissed off with Pearce at the moment you have to be fair and this article isn't. A few problems i have with it:

1) Who the fuck is Michael Mills...if your gonna have a go at least get your fucking facts right

2) How can Corradi and Samaras be refered to as a strike partnership on Saturday, when one of them was in midfield?

3) Dabo has been suspended and injured, and whilst he has been wank in the games he payed, you can't accuse him of not making an impact when he has missed half of our games

4) Trabelsi is pretty much the same, only he has been good when he hasn't been injured. It actually represents smart business from Pearce and City that they gave him a pay-as-you-play deal...i think we can all see why!

I would also say that the rumours about Curbishly are obvious now that his break is coming to an end. If it wasn't us they would just pick him out for another club that was struggling. I'm not saying there isn't any truth in it, but just that i would take it with a pinch of salt right now...i guess we will see what happens if we lose to Boro

Other interesting point - The Wigan game was game 4 of the 5 given to Pearce after the Chesterfield debacle so he's won one, drawn two, lost one, goals for - three, goals against - six , points 5

thats half of our points total gained in the last four games  - the real story lies in the goals for/against columns. If we continue to ship twice as many as we score then it's curtains.

The Boro game is the 30th, Curbishley is available for free from the 1st November

I think it's fair to say that if we lose this one the Pearce will be gone by the end of the week

You reckon? What if we put in a fantastic performance and do everything but score, somthing along the lines of Bolton last year when we hit the bar 6 times. If we did that and lost 1-0 you couldn't sack could you? Of course that won't happen.

I would imagine that there are some in the boardroom who want Pearce out and some who want him to stay, just as there are amongst the fans. The ones who want him to go will probably be looking for a shit performance so they can get rid now, and then look to bring Curbs in. Maybe i'm wrong and our board aren't that unprofesstional, but there must be some who are just waiting for the chance. If one of those is Mr Wardle then SP will be fucked next week

I don't think it's an unreasinable scenario - for Wardle to launch a broadside like that must mean that his patience is snapping

BTW - Does anyone know what Souness is doing at the moment
