| Pretty much proves that the guys at the top are not football people! Anyone can see that there was no intent whatsoever, eyes on the ball as has already been said...elevating himself. Fair play to Sidwell though, didn't make a meal of it. ut he ws willing to tell the FA there was no intention... why didn't he just tell the ref at the time? Or would that be TOO sporting?

I know you said don't answer, but i'm going to! I don't think it is a problem of stupidity, just not understanding the game. In the same way i couldn't make an informed statement on the ball tampering row in cricket because i don't understand it, the people that have made this decision make have made an informed one because they don't understand football! They should be dealing with cheats like Van Persie who are embarrasing themselves rather than make an example of someone who accidently caught someone in the chops.

The problem is that for at least the first half of the season,until refs get a grip, attacking players are going to be throwing them selfs on the deck and rolling around as if pole-axed every time a ''challenge'' in the air goes in. This looks like becoming the new form of ''diving''. And after all the press with Thatcher I think we could be seeing plenty of ''fowls'' against us. I know Sidwell came out in defence of Dabo but in honesty on Monday night he was rolling around as if injured,he mugged the ref,that is what got Dabo sent of IMO.

If it had been a Chelsea or rag player he'd have got off.A sad decision, but to be fair to the scabs, Rooney got sent off for something similar and the fa gave their backing to the three game suspension he has just completed. The suits in football are just tossers. There's no two ways about it!
