it's not looking good is it if richards, barton and distin feck off in January then it's goodnight vienna I'm really worried, I just can't see who Pearce is going to turn it round. I don't think we've got the personnel, the right manager and the financial resilience to fend off any approaches for these lads.

| slart (23/10/2006) Chairman apologises to the fans 23/10/2006 12:46
“As a major shareholder of this football club, I would be the last person to stand in the way of anyone who wished to come in with investment to move the club forward.
EVEN in the3 aftermath of one of Citys worst ever results, hes STILL trying to sell up his position, bet he makes a packet out of it too.
Twat.

| | Remember though, Wardle only took on the Chairmanship reluctantly. If somebody with huge amounts of cash wants to buy City, pay off the debt, give the manager pots of cash to buy players then who would argue with that? |

If somebody with huge amounts of cash wants to buy City, pay off the debt, give the manager pots of cash to buy players then who would argue with that?Good point. But didn't Wardle accept the job because he couldn't find anyone else for it? At a time when we were moving to a new stadium, we were an exciting team, had the likes of Anelka and Fowler (it was exciting at the time), SWP, finished in the top half of the premiership and were expected to push fo europe. If we couldn't find someone then, what chance have we got now?

| Didn't Wardle actually turn down Bernstein's offer for help not too long ago? hardly sounds like someone who has all ears open for help does it?
