| The players we have bar one or two are not exactly ripping the game up and yes we are in danger of losing a few of the more promising players if we don't start winning games. Out of interest is anyone excited about the return of any of the players the commentators mentioned out due to injury? From the list he read out no-one really stood out as coming back in and lifting the team to me. I have to say that I am glad to see Vass back for a bit of speed if nothing else.
We were discussing players sold in the summer and my dad mentioned Lee Croft. I have to say I have a soft spot for Trev but surley Croft was a far better option?! |

| | i think we as city fans should start thinking about getting the board out. theyve just got no ambition. john wardle just doesnt give a shit about us anymore. i think he just wants to try and get as much as he can of his money back and then hes off anyway. |

| the kara sea (21/10/2006) Didn't watch the game either but I agree that it would certainly be counter-productive to get rid of Pearce. Remember 10 years ago when we were going through managers like hot dinners, what good did it do us? None whatsoever, it landed us in the second division.
I agree the results since last Xmas have been shit but we can't resort to knee-jerk reactions. Apart from anything else I can't think of anyone currently available who would be a worthy successor to Pearce. The problem is at a much higher level, the problem is with the board, and also with the mercenary players who are bleeding us dry and giving zero effort. I'm at a loss as to what to suggest but today is humiliating, whichever way you look at it.
i dont quite agree that this is a knee-jerk reaction as its blatently obvious that pearce can't motivate any of the players. i think what we need is someone who can come in and make the players understand that even if they dont want to play for us, by playing as poorly as they have, no teams would want them and they will end up in the reserves whilst the youth players coming through will take there first team spots
oh and MMA whats with your caps lock button? is it broke cos i feel like im getting shouted at everytime i read your posts

| It was a sickener today, awful. Only positive was Johnson who played well.
Samaras: the worst I have seen him. Always took too long to get rid of the ball and coughed it up. Terrible. I am aware he was out of position at left flank, but George was shit.
Jordan: idle today Stephen. Woeful mate, responsible for 3rd goal, just strolling in to clear ball. Not good enough.
Pearce: bizarre substitutions. Hamann off? MMills off? Samaras should have been dragged for having a mare and replaced with DV. Very bad day at the office. 9 blokes in physio room, we were shown up.

| Get rid of Pearce before we start lingering around the bottom of the table...
He's got no excuses .. Crap signings like Corradi, Dickov, Dabo aren't going to take us places and I do understand that he's had limited moneys to spend but surely he could of got better signings than these...
The most Corradi has EVER scored in one season is 10 , Dickov about 3 . We have no friggin fire power up front and Pearce is moaning about the creativity of the side, well buy a fooking playmaker then instead of holding midfielders...
Rant over and I'm well pissed off ...

| One of the major things that bothers me about todays city team compared to previous chairmans reigns is that we have always had an out and out goal scorer like quinn or rosler and now thanks to cole fucking off to pompey we dont have one at all. Corradi is never gonna score more than 10 max, Dickov i can't see scoring, Vassell has never been a regular scorer and Samaras will be ruined if Pearce keeps playing the lad out of posistion. Maybe nows the time to start bringing Sturridge or Etuhu onto the bench or even play Miller upfront to see if our fortunes can change otherwise this time next year we will be hearing Pearce saying how he can't fault the lads for effort but Plymouth had the run of the green
