you need to move on. give over, they are average, nothing more nothing less. WHY ARE YOU ARGUING ABOUT A MATTER OF OPINION???????? Because his opinion is wrong.
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

you need to move on. give over, they are average, nothing more nothing less. WHY ARE YOU ARGUING ABOUT A MATTER OF OPINION???????? Scissor Sisters is average/rubbish, Robbie Williams is beyond fooking belief, all this RnB crap is dreadful, all this dance stuff is appallin'. Yet, in Britain people fall over themselves to listen to this garbage. I'll tell you another cool fookin Swedish band 'The Animal Five'. They are going to be massive, probably in Europe though, because Britain wouldn't understand it. 'Caesars' should be massive, but again Britain leads the way in having not got a fookin clue. In Europe these bands will do well, but in the musical toilet that is Britain, they'll do nothing, just like The Cardies, which depresses me, but doesn't surprise me. |

| As I said, this is a unique case where an opinion is wrong. No scientific avidence for it but it's fact.

| | I really do live in a musically backwards country. People really should be ashamed of themselves. maybe they would, if they could think at all. |

| | Why though? this is what always bugs me about musos. They care so much about other people's tastes and opinions, then they go on about how individual and eccletic their own tastes are. It's boring, and old, it's like teenagers, I'm an individual like all the other individuals. Why do you want everyone to agree with you? Surely the whole point of music is how one person relates to that song/artist a personal decision that you decide 'yeah i like this because that connects with this part of me'. For RnB and hip hop, it's the same, although because you don't understand it, you deem it shit, but those people who don't understand why you like the cardies so much, don't know how you feel about the music, or what emotion it stirs inside of you, or what you relate it to. It's a personal thing, and yeah i think some stuff is shit, but to completly throw away somebody elses viewpoint, and tell them that they are wrong because they don't agree with you is a joke.[/rant]

| I think you're way wide of the mark bassman. The majority of music in the charts on the continent is abysmal. The British music scene is one of the richest and most diverse in the world, with some of the best artists in most genres represented. Plus, most people listen to music that isn't in the charts, they do not represent the majority of the record buying public in any way, hence the charts dying on their arse. I could name 5 Swedish bands I love, but there are scores of quality UK acts I listen to as well. To say Britain is the toilet of the music scene is laughable. I could list my CD collection and you wouldn't have heard of 1/4 of the bands, does that make my taste superior to yours? No, it just makes it different.
