| Cheltenham target financing plan | | Cheltenham are asking for funds from fans to help sign a new loan striker. Injuries mean the Robins are down to just two fit frontmen and they cannot afford to bolster their squad. Chairman Paul Baker told his club's website: "As individual directors we are able to part finance a loan signing but we'd welcome any contributions. "As a club we are indebted to the fantastic support we receive from fans and this is the first time in my memory we have appealed for help in this way." Cheltenham have ended the loan spells of Wolves defender Keith Lowe and West Brom midfielder Rob Elvins at the end of their month's stay at Whaddon Road. |

| If I was a Cheltenham fan, as much as I could afford. If City asked me, I'd probably ask for a condition to be attached, which would to be allowed to kick fuck out of the directors.

| Why would you give as much as you could afford if you were a Cheltenham fan. I assume that their directors are just as well off reletive to the club as ours?

| Cloudy O'Reyna (12/10/2006) Why would you give as much as you could afford if you were a Cheltenham fan. I assume that their directors are just as well off reletive to the club as ours?I doubt it Cloudy. A lot of these lower league clubs are owned by 'local' business men, not a blokes who owned and sold a chain of nation wide sports shops. Like I said, I'd do the same for City, but I would begrudge it because of the mess we're in is or was avoidable.

| | Ok, got you now and fair enough. I'd bung a hundred quid in for City if I had to but, like you ESM, I'd be very unhappy about it.

| I'd do the same, on the condition that if enough wasn't raised by others i got my money back, and i'd expect proof that the money had gone they told me it would be doing
