| One of me mates last night said that Rooneys last goal for England was against Croatia in 2004. If that's the case, why is the ugly twat still first choice?

| | He's the new "undroppable" now that Beckham is history. Pathetic is what it is.
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

| Timpblue (12/10/2006) Cos he plays for the worlds best team - thats why Carrick gets a gameIt's a fucking disgrace. Noticed that the Welsh squad don't have the names of the players on the back of the shirts, I believe the Italians do the same. The thought behind it is that you're part of a team, not 11 individual walking talking marketing opportunities.

| | The same thing is happening again we have a list of players who will play no matter what - despite the fact that no one can remember the last time they played well for England Lampard, Shrek, Carrick all get regular games - nothing changes - if anything it's getting worse

Why the fuck don't they go the whole hog, sack McClown and have Ronald fucking McDonald as first team coach??

| | I'm not entirely convinced that Rooney is as good as people are making out. He doesn't exactly do it against good defenders does he? Mind you, he can't do it against crap defenders at the moment. |

Mind you, he can't do it against crap defenders at the moment. He's clearly an amazing talent, and i do believe he is just in a bad run...but i agree that he hasn't proved anything. He went about 13 games last year without a goal for the rags, and nobody mentions it because he came back and scored to in the worthless cup final
