| | My team, Torquay United having just been relegated to the `Blue Square Premier League` (Formaly known as the Conference National) are on the way up. We have new owners (A consortium of 9 people) lead by Crispin and Mark Boyce (Sons of former owner and chairman Mark Boyce), we have a new manager a week after last season ended and he has signed players that have been included in the England Non-league side and have superb stats and goals. Watch us next season , we are on the way up, you wait and see. http://torquayunited.forumcircle.com/

Wow!

| | Thanks. The reason I am am member of the Manchester City forum is because apart from me and my 2 sisters, everyone in my family comes from Manchester so I have to support Manchester City as my 2nd team. I hope City do well and with a new owner who has the money and the vision for the club and a manager whos stats say it all, I think City are going to challenge for Europe next season, and I seriously want them to, I hate seeing trash (Your neighbours) always up at the top of the league. It`s time for a club who has loyal fans, who support thier team through thick and thin to get what they deserve and Europe is what you all deserve. http://torquayunited.forumcircle.com/

Good stuff. I'm not sure if we'll challenge for Europe next season, but we'll see. We still need six players minimum and we're not even sure if we've got one. What are Torquay expecting to do next year then. Are you going for the title, or is that not likely?

| Why would you want us to get relegated...? This thread seems to have taken on a nasty edge, and I don't approve.

| | The expectation for Torquay United is to challenge for one of the play-off places and maybe the top spot with Oxford United. We made signings that have, lets say, surprised fans as we (Torquay fans) didn`t expect players who were being chased by League 1 & 2 teams, and players who had great potential to come to Torquay. At the moment we have 16 players and we have made 2 more offers today for ex-Yovil player, Andy Lingaared and ex-Hereford player, Steve Travis and we are slo looking for 2 more pacy wingers aswell. We had a friendly against Newton Abbot Fc last night, we won 4-1 and the team seemed to have blended togethar quite well, seeingas they have only been training for 2 weeks now. I personally think that the BSPL is going to be hard to get out of as teams, like Oxford, who get relegated to the league expect to have an easy ride and then are hit hard by smaller teams, right in the face. So as long as we realise to expect the unexpected and to not think that this is going to be an easy ride. Then, maybe we could hopefully we could come back up next season. Just out of intrest, we are 3rd favourites to go up (behind Oxford and Stevenage Borough), we are 11/1 to go up and 13/1 to win the league, (Oxford are 3/1 to go up and 5/1 to win the league and Stevenage are 9/1 to go up and 11/1 to win the league) http://torquayunited.forumcircle.com/
