Good to see him keeping his feet on the ground, I like his attitude.

Ishmael Miller is not jumping to any conclusions ahead of this Saturday’s Premiership clash with Sheffield United.

The teenager has been impressive in City’s last two games, the first he has started at senior level, but he does not think that he is an automatic selection for the visit of the Blades this weekend.

“I'll just keep my head down and do what the gaffer tells me to do,” says Ishmael. “He's really supportive, but if he thinks it's best to play another player I'll agree with him because he knows what's best.”

Miller’s charging run that lead to Georgios Samaras’ first goal against West Ham was a familiar sight to anyone that has seen him play for the reserves, but the step-up to the first team has not overawed him.

“There is a big difference playing from playing for the reserves, you've got lots of people in your corner supporting you but you just try to block it out. You've got to play your own game and not try to do anything too stupid, so I have done and I'm really happy with the way it has gone.”

How long before he starts demanding a pay rise though......?

Hmmm, past experience would suggest otherwise   Let's just hope he's learnt the lesson...
