| I cant believe it. They just showed the 'goal of the season' competition at half time and there wasn't a city goal anywhere to be seen. Oh wait a minute... there wouldn't be would there. Er.. yeah, forget I just said that. On the plus side though, there wasn't one against city either.

I was not that impressed. Brazil did not play the 1st X1 and England were not straining themselves too much. I thought Beckham did what he was picked for and Gerrard played well. Fat Frank was crap but it should have given them confidence to play Estonia. Got to agree wit that comment Bert. He looks completely burnt out. I thought Beckham did, what Beckham has always done. Dead ball expert, superb passing and crossing. What I cannot understand, is Beckham showed Maclaren failry early on, with that cross/pass to Owen - they needed a target man. Smith never won/controlled one pass that was played up to him in the first half, yet Maclaren stuck with him for most of the second half. If Beckham came in to supply inch perfect crosses, then why not play Crouch? Smith was shite...always has been. I thought Stevie G had a good game. Some of those tackles were superb. Will Maclaren now have the balls to drop Lampard - ftr the crowd were booing at the mention of his name? I doubt it.

I actually think Smith is a good player and would love to see him at the CoM 
Anyway, back to McLaren's balls. Yeah, that didn't sounds right.
Well, if the media and public put McClaren under enough pressure to drop Lampard, he will, as he showed with Beckham. He is now trying to please the fans and media instead of trying to win football matches, and thats a dangerous way to play.

Beckham goes off, lets put crouch on !! beckham was putting in some great crosses, and smith was shite!! Then crouch comes on and someone drilled it across on the floor to the near post, which owen was crying out for for ages!! Talk about playing to your strengths !! Gerrard - Fantastic Fat Lumpard - Feckin useless !! Wes Brown - How the fook did he get in the team? Surely we have someone better ? Nice first touch Wes you twat!!
