| To be fair though it was very common knowledge that KK was willing to let the Goat go to Wolves, he said it himself. This is only one side of the story.

| At the end of the day he did his job to the best of his ability and we are now a steady top flight team that has potential to go further.

| Born Unlucky (04/10/2006) We played some exciting football in the beginning under KK, but his appointment was a mistake (and I held that belief from day one) that we will be paying for for a few more years yet.
There, you have my contribution.Very reserved response BU. I was only pulling your leg mate. I imagined you seeing a thread about KK and gritting your teeth in an attempt not to rise to the bate.

| The Goat was a hero but no player is bigger than the club. If KK had have sold him we wouldn't have been happy but each manager that arrives has his favourites and we have to live with it. In my best years watching City we sold Peter Barnes and Gary Owen, both of them were top quality but they didn't work for Big Mal 2. We moaned a bit but it didn't last long.
If at first you don't succeed pull your foreskin over your heed. |

There, you have my contribution.Sorry BU I disagree, we had a couple of very exciting years that saw City playing some of the most attractive football we have ever seen. I agree that from our 2nd year back in the Premiership he had ceased to have anymore impact and needed to be replaced. He wasted money but also brought Ali Benarbia, Stuart Peace and Anelka to the club. When he was appointed we were on the verge of another manager-go-round after binning Joe Royle. We needed to get back to the big league, it happened and we are still there. I don't deny we played some fancy football and that we had some quality players, but I would not trade that for the position we were in at the time of being, IMO, on the verge of something good. I was not disheartened by relegation under Royle as I was convinced we would bounce straight back up, no matter who the manager was. Who's to say we were on the verge of another manager go round? What evidence do you have to support that assertion? I would argue that appointing KK made that a more likely occurance as his emotional disposition made him nothing more than a very expensive short term fix.
What we knew we would get with KK was good football, promotion, good players, heavy spending, big wages and the liklihood he would not be around to see out his '5 year plan'. For me the bad points heavily outweigh the good. Give me uninspired football for steady progress anyday. No one is gonna convince me otherwise preaching about good football and Anelka given the situation we find ourselves in today.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say |
