| I went to see The Cult last Friday. Someone up the front waved a City top at the band. Singer Ian Astbury asked why they bothered as he didn't care about City and went on to ask if there were any United fans in the audience. Predictably a bunch of idiots raised their hands. Guitarist Billy Duffy took the mic and said that as he was born in Manchester he supported City and he goaded the Rags in the crowd by saying we beat them every year. He also said he would sign the City top.
Back in the 90s Billy Duffy toured the States sporting the City away red and black checkboard shirt. Guns n Roses were the support band.

| The Cult are fantastic, song writers, and in honesty just fucking cool.
I like their early stuff, the Love album, and Electric is probably by far and away most fans favoruite album but for me, Sonic Temple was a ball tearer. Every song on that album is a scorcher. A really moody and dark release, still rock and roll but with a throwback to their goth influence. Fave for me: Soul Asylum.
Love em.

| | Bloody hell! , they still touring? The last (and only) time i've seen them play live was when they were The Southern death Cult... and then they were supporting Bauhaus!
