Some good performances here's my view

Weaver - Not a lot to do, one really good stretching catch from across when under real pressure.

Richards - Solid, will shoot the next time he gets a chance.

Jordan - Steady, gave the ball away a few times.

Dunne - Marshalled the defence well, solid

Distin - A few nervy moments but playing better without the armband

Sinclair - Ineffective - relied on Micah to do his running.

Barton - Getting better, starting whipping crosses and free kicks in rather than floating them, good save from Carroll stopped him scoring.

Hamann - dodgy start but got better as the game went on, his experienced showed later on.

Miller - Slow start, after his brilliant run for the goal his confidence increased and showed a bit more of what he is about.

Corradi - Top performance, he worked his bollocks off, with his back to goal holding the ball up he was top notch, cracking ball for George's 2nd goal.

Samaras - Playing in his proper position and getting good service he looked a different player, full of confidence, wtwo top finishes.

Subs.

Ireland/Dickov - just came on to run down the clock.

Reyna - I will never boo a city player even if they are crap ( I go for constructive criticism), there were a few boos when he came on but he did alright, he stopped a potentially dangerous attack right at the end.

Overall chuffed to bits, just what we needed.

Think have gust about go it right there Golburne.A bit harsh on Sinclare maybe?

At last our right back is doing his job going forward.Richards is outstanding in recovering tackles but needs to work at his crosses. He ran at their defence really well yesterday. If he gets as good at crossing as tackling he will become a truly outstanding player.

How long has it been since we won two in a row? This is what we need to do now. Pearce has to build on this, but we always seem to follow up a positive performance with a crap one.

We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars

I agree with those ratings and I also thought Corradi was top quality yesterday with his hold up play and awareness, also the hardest working player in the team. Barton was excellent aswell he kept two good centre midfielders quiet in Mascherano and Reo Coker with a bit of help from Hamann, I think Joey may be justifying his wages if he keeps up his recent performances.
