| | Anyone know much about them? They're being touted as being one of the bands to look out for in 2007, and described as 'new rave'. I've heard on of their songs, (which was good), but 'rave' isn't a word I'd associate with it.

| | I think I made my feelings about them known here ESM: http://forum.mancityforum.co.uk/Topic18940-16-1.aspx My feelings on them haven't mellowed in the intervening six weeks - they're still shite. Apparently its "Nu-rave", a pun on "New Wave" thought up by some muso journalist who thinks its really clever. Just another bullshit pigeonhole. They are a rather bland guitar band with no real dance element to their music. I really can't see what all the fuss is about. Hope that helps!

The new Bloc Party album is out early Feb, hope it's as good as Silent Alarm although the new single is fucking wierd.

Ok....................maybe I won't invest. The new Bloc Party album is out early Feb, hope it's as good as Silent Alarm although the new single is fucking wierd. My thoughts exactly. Perhaps its a grower. Maybe I expected too much of The Klaxons. They're a three-piece who use a laptop for drums, exactly the same as my band, so I was encouraged when they were signed for a big money deal to a major label. I bought a couple of records and went to a gig, but I'm completely underwhelmed. Hyped up to fuck without a great deal of substance to back it up. IMHO of course.

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

| | Still undecided about the Klaxons at the moment. First song was a bit weird and the second is nothing like the first at all. i didn't even know it was them. catchy little number tho.
