I'm with Noddy on this one.

The Appollo is a proper gigging venue like the Ritz ( my personal favourite) a much better atmosphere.

The Accademy-2 is ok, but no-1 is shite i've seen loads of bands there and enjoyed it, but not a patch on The Apollo.

Well each to their own I guess

I do agree with you about The Ritz though, been to a few very good gigs there (Beta Band in 1998 being one of the most outstanding), going to see The Divine Comedy play there in October.

Eat, drink and be Benny.

I saw The Fall at the Ritz a few years ago and thought it was a really good venue. The gig was chaotic as usual. I was only at the Apollo once for Judas Priest last year and thought it was great.

you guys are lucky to be able to debate over different venues.  Living in Southampton, we have just one venue and it's pretty poo (Guidhall).  For some reason, bands seem to bypass the area, can't think why! - thank god I'm moving back up North this week, going to gigs is one of the things I'm really looking forward to, along with getting to the matches of course.

At the moment, I would just look forward to the gigs

Good to see the Ritz is back on the circuit again after a few years in the wilderness.

I used to go to the ON-U sound Christmas party's at the Ritz, and they were fucking awsome!!!
