| Top player Puskas. They still love him in Hungary.
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

| More players nowadays should have nicknames like 'The Booming Cannon' and 'The Galloping Major'.

| 'Tis is a shame. I wonder if we will have to have a minutes silence for a true legend of the game who died despite battling his illness bravely, like we did for the alcoholic womaniser that was George Best.

| i can remember reading in 4-4-2 mag a few years ago about Puskas and he was described as slow, couldnt head a ball and only left footed then it showed his goal record and i though fucking hell what would it have been like if he was a two footed striker with a presence in the air and quick to go with it

| I saw a programme around the time George Best died, it showed Puskas teaching some young players, I think one of them was Best, he looked middle aged and unfit, he did the 'crossbar challenge' from the halfway line and was hitting it every time.

| | Manchester City have been asked to send a representative to the funeral of Ference Puskas after his widow heard of comments made about Puskas by several former city players The comments - made spontaneously during a dinner when news of Puskas' death was first broadcast - were made by Fred Eyre and Franny Lee
