| Please remember that all this talk about SWP is paper talk, yes SP has made a couple of comments, but do you really think Wardle and Makin would pick the phone up and ring The Mirror and tell them we're skint?

| East Stand Massive (30/11/2006) Please remember that all this talk about SWP is paper talk, yes SP has made a couple of comments, but do you really think Wardle and Makin would pick the phone up and ring The Mirror and tell them we're skint?Perhaps, but they can't afford the phone bill. |

| | I expect the truth is closer to the supposition that the Board, whilst prepared to pony up a transfer kitty, don't want it all spent on one player. Particularly one who plays a position that is not a concern. If that is the case, then the Board is pretty much on the same page as this board, where people constantly call for a creative midfielder, left winger and upgrades at the front and back. But nary a call for something new on the right midfield. In any event, I doubt the transfer kitty is as big as 7 million. Probably more like four or five. Now, the interesting thing is to see what happens if we get more than ten points this month. The way the table is, that could see us pushing for a Europe spot as the window opens. That could for a reconsideration. |
