Like Noel Gallagher said, if he's got anyone but Mourinho lined up then he's made a mistake. Sven spent £46million (Aren't TV rights £50mil?) so really all Thaksin has spent his money on is to buy the club and clear the debt. He clearly said at the start of the season, and in the programme on Saturday that he had a three year plan - top 10 1st season, top 6 2nd season and top 4 the 3rd season. Has Sven completed the first part? Yes, so what is the problem Frankie?

I think Mourinho would fancy coming here though. Bit of money, giving Fergie some in his own City

If I'm honest I knew all along that frank knew nothing about football after I heard statments like the one above at the start of the season. So I shouldn't really be surprised at what is going on now.

Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany!

Its too early for me to say "I am a fan of Sven" but he´s done a fantastic job in the first half and its too early to say he´s done badly overall. The last half of the league hasnt been a fancy half for any city fans. Sven knew it but he had to try his own styles and formations...its funny he didnt try other tactic when he knew it went badly so many times.

I want Sven to stay to prove that he has learned as he stated many times about how he was doing it all wrong. I think Sven is just the right man because by now he should know what the squard needs and missed. I have been pretty neautral with Sven but I want him to stay and guess what..I dont think Thaksin is going to sack him. I dont see any reason at all and if there is one then its probably personal issues.

£100 that sven will stay. Thaksin maybe mad but not stupid.

I heard the real reason that Sven is to be "let go" in 2 weeks is he wouldn't purchase players that Thaksin wanted to bring in - Sven apparently had no intention of bringing in Ronaldinho  - but Thaksin wanted it.  Also Sven had a list of players he wanted to discuss re next season but always had to go through middle men to Thaksin and his requests were not commented upon.

Sve was told by Dr Shinawatra that he isn't the right man for the Manchester City role and he should tell the players at training (Monday) that he would not be in charge next season.

(spelling of names is terrible, sorry)

C.T.I.D. (then some)

The "Special One" won't come to City. No Champions League Footy here.

That'd be his challenge, surely?

T'would be harsh to sack Sven after just 12 months. I think a manager needs at least 3 years. Everton could have sacked Moyes after his second season but they didn't and have been rewarded. I also worry about our image and subsequent ability to attract new players/manager with Frank in charge. Not only that, but I worry that a lot of our better existing players would want out.

However, as someone else said, a lot of our concerns about Sven whilst he was England manager have, for me, resurfaced. So whilst I couldn't agree with the sacking of Sven, I wouldn't be that bothered if it happened.

I'm a don't know.

The board should listen to the fans. If they say they want Sven to stay, he should stay.

So you think you can dance?
