| | Sven Goran Eriksson already has enough to worry about this weekend, what with Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra flying in for a meeting that could decide his future. The pair will also be discussing signings but it now seems the striker who could be the star acquisition, Brazil international Jo, 21, has a complex background similar to Carlos Tevez at City's Manchester rivals United. I hear he is part-owned by MSI, the company who brought Tevez to England, and CSKA Moscow will receive only 70 per cent of the proposed £18million transfer. The sale will be the biggest in Russian league history, even though CSKA might only be left with £12m as MSI take the other £6m. Jo began his career at Corinthians, the club that MSI — who were fronted by Kia Joorabchian — took over in late 2004, before he moved to the Russian capital in 2005. Last week he agreed personal terms with City and an annual salary of £3.5m was agreed.

Too often, we lose sight of lifes simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch-slap that mother....pass it on. |

I was more interested in the second highlited item and the quote sven says" I'm not that good" It's from the daily Mail, as if you couldn't guess. It really pisses me off the way they take half a sentence out of context to make a headline. The full sentence was, While Eriksson has raised the bar at Eastlands, he is far from complacent. The 60-year-old said: "You learn from every game, that's my view". "Of course you make mistakes in your first season". "I am not that good and I am not sure anyone is that good." Basically, the man who never makes mistakes has yet to be born. Which is fair enough.
Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany! |
