Here's the update after 35 games. It's surprising how difficult is it for teams to simply "follow form" (win at home against teams lower in the table, draw at home against teams higher in the table, draw on the road against lower teams, lose on the road against higher teams). Liverpool is the only team to really do better than form over the last nine games. Pompey, Everton and West Ham have been pretty close, while Blackburn, Aston Villa and us have trailed a bit.

The end result is that we are going to have to run the table for any chance to move up appreciably. That would mean a huge result in Liverpool, which I don't foresee happening.

Still, if we do that we finish with 62 points, mathematically leave anything up to fifth possible. Reality is we should nip Blackburn for 8th.

We have a big chance of getting into 6th or even 5th. Next game Astion Villa against Everton this game will help us a lot.

See I fancy us to win against Liverpool. I think they will have 4th spot tied up, beat chelsea in the second leg in extra time in the Cl and fielding a weak team to rest players.

We will be in the mood for it with all to play for after humping Fulham this weekend.

Thing is, we will probably lose against Boro !!

We have a great chance. I hope we win all 3, that would be great.

Too often, we lose sight of lifes simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch-slap that mother....pass it on.
