In today's Irish Sun a full page is given over to Stephen Ireland in the "news" section rather than the sports section.  it quotes Paddy Mulligan (former ROI player) saying "good ridence" and dredges up the granny, bebo and superman stories. 

I doubt I'll ever see him in an Irish team again. What a waste!

Definite waste, short of premiership class mid fielders ROI squad, yes he misbehaved a bit but it is a waste
