Dont you think this 'singing in a english accent' is gonna become very date very soon. Like these tribal tattoos. You'll be able to say in 20 years time 'I know when that record came out, somewhere between 2006-2008'.

I can see it now, tallent spotters up and down the country looking for acts like this.

Or even finding one, but the singer sing has a fake american accent, "you're good, but you know what you need, a new singer with an english- preferably london -accent".

Erm, i'm not sure what accent you would like an English girl to sing in Jeebs? If by English accent you are getting at the 'LDN' scene of Lily Allen and Kate Nash, Ms Marling is nothing like them. She has a terrific voice. If that's not what you mean i really don't get what you mean

That is what I mean. And asking "what accent you would like an English girl to sing in?" is not as obvious as it sounds. For years british acts have put in an american accent, which I dont like either by the way, when I say "either" that doesn't mean I dont like the singing in the english/LDN accent cuz I do, it's just the cynical marketing of it at the moment that doesn't sit right with me.

Right, that's fine, but it's not a fair accusation to level at this girl at all. I'm not even sure she how much of a marketable act she is. I suspect she'll well reasonably well, but she certainly isn't part of that whole scene. Much more talented, much more beautiful and touching lyrics.

Which song did you listen to?
