Emigre, I like some Lichtenstein too, also some Warhol, a bit overdone now but still have to appreciate what they brought to us years ago.

Exactly. You can't blame the originals for the copiers. As a graphic designer I find the likes of Warhol and Lichtenstein to be somewhat inspirational. You can add Toulouse Lautrec to that list too. Certainly an early pioneer of graphic design. I rather like Neville Brody (The Face) too, although in truth he completely overdid it in the end. Ooh, favourite graphic designers. Nice twist to the thread. Me obviously. Then perhaps Mr Brody. But me basically.

I did not know that. My cousin is an artist in London and is heavily influenced by all of the above and he loves a screen print.

So, I'll plug him here, you might like some of his stuff;

I don't like clowns. I like his clowns though. Not like exactly. Intrigued perhaps. Did he have a bad clown experience as a youth? Is there any such thing as a good clown experience btw?

quite the opposite, one of his clown pieces has the caption 'it's so cliché to say clowns are scary', it is one those on the website...

Oh and screen printing is super cool. I used to do it when at college. Produced t-shirts and everything. Wish I still had them, they were good.

Quite right it is not, just checked. Agreed about clowns.

Cloudy has seen my work (I think).  It's all a bit random, lot's of naked people. Not in a rude way of course.  And they are never nice looking models, that pisses me off a bit.  Never mind.  Although I do prefer to draw people with lots of fat as they are far more interesting on paper.  Also I hate working in watercolours, they drive me mad.
Anyway now you now I like art, I hate watercolours and that I like drawing fat naked people.

You cow, and it was bloody cold in that studio!

Shriveled up dint it?

Vote Paddy for Mod!

I've just ordered 77 Million Paintings!

This just arrived and it is brilliant! It's not as good as seeing the installation obviously but still very good.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.
