| Glossop blue (18/03/2008) I have had a number of run ins with them over the years, the first was on the fancy dress boxing day game at the victoria ground some years ago, they were angry that we had tickets for half the ground and just caused trouble wherever they could. I also remember them setting fire to the north stand because they had been bussed in early and were pissed off that they could not cause trouble, as soon as the police got them outside they kicked off with the passing city fans.I have very fond memories of that game, despite the fact we lost 3-1 if memory serves. I was fairly young tho, and the bananas were legendary that day.

I was there with my inflatables and a viking costume as I recall.

One of my main memories was one of their players getting hit straight in the testes from a clearance, and the entire end singing "What's it like to hae no nuts?". Still makes me lol.

My first ever away game was at Stoke. Trevor Francis debut. Scored a couple too. Belting day. 3-1 win.

You got me thinking-I genuinely can't remember my first away-I do remember a season of going to every game though. In what would be the championship now-great year.

Oooh, I did that one year. Went to every game home and away, league and cup except one. The New Years day game away at Southampton. That was just asking too much.

| | i went to stoke v blackpool ,freebie ticket, just to see what the potters are like football wise ,and fan wise ,the face value of the ticket was £28 ,they are not up to much really, there was not much beetween the 2 sides ,stoke had the better of the first 15 mins but blackpool took the lead, stoke equalised after the break then it was a bit scrappy after that ,both teams had chances to win the game i think if stoke do make the prem then they will struggle to stay up the fans; angry foul mouthed burberry clad chavs and that was just the woman there

| | I've had one season of doing most away games, couldn't do all of them given that i didn't have a job so wasn't paying for my own tickets, but it started with Lokeren away and then went on from there. We were terrible that season, hardly won an away game at all. T'was fun though, i'd like to go to more away games again. Oh and my first away was Villa - 2-2, Ginola scored in the last minute
