| Off topic, but as you're in this thread I was wondering if you knew what the hell has happened between Keane and Dunphy? Was reading something today where Dunphy was giving Keane shit for his treatment of Miller. Weren't these two buddies?

Was reading something today where Dunphy was giving Keane shit for his treatment of Miller. Weren't these two buddies?Very funny this. Dunphy is a pundit on RTE's saturday evening show he Premiership. He also writes for the Irish Daily Star and has a radio show. As you know Dunphy was a staunch supporter of Keane during the World Cup fiasco and very anti-Mick McCarthy. He even said he hoped Ireland would lose all the group games in the world cup (they actually won or drew all their games). Dunphy was also writing Keane's hoolie bio at the same time. Dunphy even took the flak for the infamous "Alfie" passage in the first hard back edition thus absolving Keane. Dunphy's support of Keane for the next few years was hilarious to watch. He defended all his actions. However, when Keane fell out with Utd, Dubphy was asked continuously for an insider's view. It soon became clear that Keane had cut him out of the loop and was no longer in contact with him. It is only recently that Dunphy has turned on Keane. A few months ago he branded him a bullshitter and a politician. He did this in The Star and on RTE Radio. Keane laughed it off and said he hadn't spoken to him in years. In Ireland this stuff gets as much coverage as any political scandal.

| | Big sulk and he's thrown his toys out of the pram. Dunphy in full flight is hilarious. During one world cup he shouted on the TV and threw his pens across the studio. When Ireland got the quarter finals he go drunk after the penalty shoot out and quoted Robert Emmett. He turned up for one early kick off straight from a night club and slipped back in his chair and almost passed out. He is has been caught drunk driving more times than he played for Ireland and bragged about taking coke in an interview with Hot Press. A few weeks ago he gave evidence at a state tribunal and accussed Bertie Ahern (Irish Prime Minister) of taking bribes. Look him up on youtube. Dunphy, Giles and Brady on RTE are great. Usually better than the football.
