| Suing theFootball 365 website. I think it's the website rather than the forum, so doesn't apply to us, but I find this sort of thing worrying.

FORMER Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is understood to have initiated a libel action for damages against the website, Football365, following a transfer gossip story it allegedly ran online.
The Press Gazette says O'Neill is seeking damages of up to £50,000 from the publishers of the website.
If successful it would represent a hat-trick of winning claims for O'Neill who has won damages from the Daily Record and The Observer in the past over stories he was going to become manager of Liverpool and Manchester United respectively. This time O'Neill is taking on publishers 365 Media Group plc and is demanding damages over its "Transfer Gossip" webpage.
He claims that a story headed "O'Neill looks to feeder club for keeper" dated 13 April was defamatory. He is seeking damages and an injunction banning the Middlesex-based web publisher from repeating the allegations at the centre of his claim.
The 365 Media Group Plc is owned by BSkyB and runs popular websites such as Football365 and Golf365.

Yep. It was in a "gossip" place as well, you would think that must mean anything there should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Disagree Jeebus (whats wrong with you tonight?). Drives me up the wall these flagrant rumours bandied about by the media. Why should they make shit up? If they cut it out the effects would only be positive, they are lies after all. Potentially even a decrease in costs of players?

And its not as if that gossip is he killed and ate Roy Keane's dog or something equally ridic. It's just petty bollocks.

| | I think he's spot on. We all hate it when micah is being linked to another club, wish it didn't happen. gossip or not i think it's only right that they shouldn't be allowed to print lies. I also think the world would be a better place if Martin O'Neil made the rules. Or if we were the sons of people who went to school with him.
