| I heard he has an attitude as well. My cousin went to one of those things last year where the fans get to ask questions of the players and manager and Pearce was asked whether Sturridge would get his chance soon and apparently his words were "he's just another Joey Barton".

No way Pearce would say that.It does seem a bit strange, but there's no way my cousin or uncle would lie either. Apparently he said a few strange things. Maybe worth noting that at this point it was pretty obvious Pearce was gonna be out of a job
