| | I was thinking about this last night and have convinced myself that things are not quite as bad as they seem. Hopefully we will manage to scrape a result tonight with the strikers we have available and then we play the arse and the rags where we probably wouldn't expect to get any points and it is probably more important that the defense performs. Then we have no game and don't play again until 25th Feb. By this time Sturridge will be much fitter, Boji could be almost there (possibly on the bench) and Castillo may only be a week away from fitness. In addition our midfield may be boosted by the return of Johnson. See everything will be fine Less of the negativity. Always the optimist, that's me! |

| Our problem is that we have spent every match since that goal Bianchi had against West Ham (opening day) playing a system that doesnt suit for a striker. When was the last goal we saw that was a City player running round a defender and slotting it in. Our game has been down the left, cross to no one, win ball back down the right, across the 18 yard box, back to left side...We havent played to a 'strikers game' for a long tome now and the mid-field will need to adjust accordingly. That could take a while. I dont mean to be too pessimistic but that is how I see it, maybe we'll adjust quicker than I imagine.

| | Good points Danny. There is nothing wrong with creating goals from crosses from the wing and it is probably the best way to create chances, we scored a couple of good goals against Blackburn. But really we need to start creating chances from the right to take away the predictability. Add that to the odd goal down the middle and we would be ok. Let's see how we do when Boji and Johnson are back. |

I think two strikers is a must to get on crosses etc.

Maybe even drop Elano for a couple of games to freshen him up a bit. |

| | That might work as a stop-gap until we get a proper right winger, save for the fact Johnson isn't available. |
