Certainly much happier at that price....
I think its pretty obvious he wont get to 75 apperances in little over 2 years so its a steal as long as he keeps banging them in. You can unerstand why people were worried....Harry was talking £9 million plus for a 29 year old and £7 million for defoe. It actually turns out its £9 million + for defoe and only £3.8 million upfront for Benji with a similar sum IF he makes 75 apperances over 2 seasons and the remainder of this season. WIth the forwards we are likely to have next season thats unlikey to happen; really hes just a stop gap to try and get us into europe this season.
I just noticed though we actually have around 11 strikers on our books at the moment (only a couple of them youth players)
Dickov out of contact in summer as is vassel I think presumably their contracts wont be extended. Corradi making a permanent move back to italy, probably Biachi as well Samaras will hopefully go. Mpenzas likely to go as well....
Its amazing the number of shit strikers we have managed to collect....

| This season is a transition phase and Benjani fits the plan well, if he scores a few we'll probably get European football, if he gets loads he'll secure his future and save us some cash in the Summer. Our team next season won't be recognisable compared to last seasons - Samaras, Corradi, Dickov Vassell, Dabo, Isaksson, Mills, Sun, Barton, will all have left and we'll have a new crop of signins to embrace - it's going to be brilliant - I hope Benjani brings us some confidence on the pitch and a few goals in the next 4 or 5 games should re-igniteour season. Being realistic about the ent 2 games and expecting 1 point - both v good teams.

For some reason im not ruling out bojinov to make an appearance, injured against scum.... returns against scum  Hopefully sven will play with 2 strikers as you have to go at them on their turf, no point trying to defend.. make them think instead. Benjani and sturridge might work, Benjani and Boji will for sure  Maybe the new guy Conceido will feature with Benjani. Would like to see Castillo on the right wing when he`s back. Castillo(New winger maybe?), Benjani, Bojinov, Castillo, Mpenza, Sturridge, Conceido, Vassell, Bianchi, Corradi, Dickov and Samaras all still on our books, Thats 11 strikers, 12 with Ched evans, Fucking hell sven i hope you get rid of atleast 6 of them, and im sure you all know who they are.  Eh, Barca, isn't that Spanish for "giving in"?? Sounds more like a take on "To know someone" Conocer  It sounds like it should be giving up in Spanish though your right.
