It is what it is. It's done now, he has put his hand up and said he wasnt familiar with the January transfer market dynamics. Shall we all harp on about this for ages and achieve absolutely FA or should we move on?

Well said. At least he has the minerals to say "Yeah, we got caught out."I like honesty in a person. Plus if reports are true then we've been watching Caicedo for about two months so that's hardly a lack of preparation.

Yeah i respect him for his honesty, but i still don't think it's an excuse, the bottom line is we desperately needed a proven prem goal scorer, have we got him? No, have we got a striker that's remotely experienced? No. What about a right winger? No.

Think you could do better? No?

Then quit bitching.

The bottom line Cooder, is that Sven should have done better... I totally agree about building for the future, but regardless we still needed a proven goal scorer, and yeah i do class Benjani as a proven prem goal scorer, he's had a fantastic season so far and i dare say it will continue - he's proved he's suited to the league.. end of. It's rediculous that the reason he isn't going to be playing for us, is due to running out of time last night... there simply aren't any excuses for it.

Remember Michael Ricketts? One good half season, england cap, then...

And where is he now? Sucking old man cock in the back ally for a £5. (Alledgadly) Well thats what I heard anyway.

Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany!

And whilst I think about it, where exactly did you get these expectations from? You should feel fuckin lucky we've got Sven, not bitch about how he should have done better. I'm glad to see it was actually not his fault but some administrative one.

I'm a fan of his and i'm immensely impressed with him in general, so get off your high horse mate, i'm merely saying that it was way too last minute. These expectations...? where is this coming from? I'm realistic and not over the top, don't talk to me like a glory hunter, i'm city through and through and have been for years, i know where we've come from.. And i hadn't heard about the admin cock up, so fair enough on that one, but even that is a total fucking bulls up.

Then why don't you understand that Sven couldn't get the players he wanted cos all the clubs said 'no'. He then had to - in Benjani's case - wait for Spurs to decide to let Defoe go, agree a price, then Defoe had to settle personal issues - and then we have to do the same for Benjani.

All this 'it's not good enough' crap is really getting my wick is all. The man tried, all January. He has brought in Nery Castillo, Felipe Caicedo and Mancini don't forget

Yeah he tried, but it doesn't make the fact we're seriously lacking in striking talent dissapear does it? It's not Sven so much, more that we were missing papers, i mean for fucks sake, that shouldn't happen when we're talking about something on this scale. We'll just have to wait and see won't we, but i think most will agree that this month transfers haven't been what we expected from Sven.
