| | Just read that Drefoe was £7M. That must make the Benajani deal worth about £6M (if 'Arry wanted it to go towards Defoe) I'm just glad we didn't sign Crouch

We didn't sign half the players linked with, and we never do. Why do the papers always make up bullshit stories?

| Well having slept on it and heard that c*** rednapp saying we agreed to pay £9 million for him and defoe only £7 million I will be glad if the deal dosnt come off..
I dont really fancy us grabing our angles for that cockney barrow boy. Benjani looks like a one season wonder, his scoring record before this season has been poor at best and £ 9 million is far too much to pay for a player of 29 with half a good season under his belt.
£6 - £7 million yes as he would fit in well with our system and give us a chance of getting into europe.
At the end of the day Pompey took the piss on this one. the fee and the whole way it was handled, he missed 3 flights to manchester does it sound like he wanted to sign for us ? He didnt turn up at carrington till after 11pm. They could have driven him up here in 4 hours he would have been here before 8pm....
Pompey are desperately trying to force it through today; thats good enough reason to be happy it didnt happen....
If you actually read the truth on the MEN site opposed to the crap twitchy mk blinky is comming out with I think its obvious we have done well to dodge this panic buy.... |

| | I have also heard this morning of the news that the premier league are looking into the Benjani to MCFC transfer,And the fact that it could still go through,The thing is,Ive sort of changed my mind since last night.I was franticly searching the net last night to see an article about a definate signiture,But it never came and i was thinking it was a disaster,But this morning i can see light at the end of the tunnel,If we did sign Benjani it would directly influence the pitch time of Daniel Sturridge,So im glad it never happened cos weve had a great first half of the season and i think it would be great to use the second half of the season to blood him into the first team,Then at the start of next season he will have tons of confidence and a little experience. |
