| | Woodwork has a satisfying result, sense of self-achievement painting-no comment Does anyone else get clinically depressed as soon as they walk into B&Q? and then having to go back their half way through the job for something else you need. there are some pretty wacky tools out there on google images!

| I make at least 18 trips to the store (Home Depot) per project. Some day I'm going to start making a list....in fact, let me put that on my list.

| | Went to bloody Travis Perkins, Axons and B&Q today pricing up timber joists, joist hangers, boarding, insulation, loft hatches, plasterboard, plaster, nails, galvanised straps, light and small power wiring, sockets, foiled backed insulation panels etc, etc and wet myself when I realised just how much my intended loft conversion is going to set me back, never mind the time, misery and frustration. Spend last weekend crawling round on my hands and knees stripping 40 bags of shite out of there and when I came downstairs the missus didn't recognise me. Found nothing interesting but a dead squirrel. Guess what I'm doing this weekend, that's right spending another pleasant 8 hours sweating and itching just to clear the other half of the loft. By the way if I sound like i know what I'm doing then I'd better let you all know I don't really but quite looking forward to getting my chop saw out!

| Love the chop saw! Love it!
Sounds like you've got a fun weekend planned CB. I've just a few bits and bobs to finish in the main part of the house and then I have the greenlight from the misses to start my dream project....a pub in the basement. Already have a kegarator, with a nice, icy keg of lager in it, sitting in my kitchen at the mo.

| | I'm jealous OD, a pub in the basement beats a nothing room in the loft. Managed to get the rest of the old crap out today and just about stopped itching so at least the better part of the job starts from here on. Just not looking forward to forking out all that cash though. Having tomorrow off as I'm going to the pub to watch the game. Good luck finishing off OD and let us know when you've started your pub - jammy sod!
