Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is planning a swoop to bring David Beckham to St James' Park. (Mirror)

Can you imagine David explaining to Posh that they are moving from LA to Newcastle?

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

I like Newcastle.

Never been to LA so can't be sure but I suspect I wouldn't like it as much.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

True but I somehow suspect Victoria Beckham would feel the opposite.
