| bigdavecox90 (30/10/2007) Perhaps give Michael Ball a chance?yup, Ball hasn't really put a foot wrong since he joined other than his...ahem....robust chalenge on the Show Pony and I forgave him for that after, what, erm...1 second.
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

| East Stand Massive (30/10/2007) Wouldn't mind seeing Ball given a go on the left, and Micah back on the right, with either Corluka or Nedum along side Dunne. It would give us a bit more of an outlet on the right flank.Corluka or Nedum? No question in my mind who is the better player, currently.

Corluka is by far the better player, was superb last night, but if injured I'd still have Nedun at CB and Micah on the wing. We miss his pace.

Not gonna be confident otherwise.

| | It sounds like Ned may not be available for Sunday. So we'll probably see the usual four back there. I wouldn't mind seeking Micah and Corluka swap positions, but I doubt Sven is going to want to re-jig given the magnitude of the game. |

| i think corluka is my new favourite player.. he's excellent. when we were passing the ball around the back four against sunderland, you could see how when sun had it they chased him down, when dunne had it they chased him down.. but when corluka had the ball they just stood off like there was no point cos he was so comfortable with it. id like to see corluka at CB and richards down the right. but maybe, as richards sees himself as a CB they wouldnt want to risk upsetting him by pushing him out wide.

| | In the event of hamann getting injured we should play ned at right back and play charlie at anchorman, he's excellent at bringing the ball forward and think he would be a good shout... In the meantime i agree that richards should move to the right and charlie play at CB, I feel richards is the better player on the overlap...for example every time he plays for england..
